These terms are the agreement between you and Loopcast for the loopcast.io website and the Loopcast panel, the service that loops a video you upload to Steam, YouTube or Kick as a 24/7 live broadcast. Creating an account means you accept them. Read them alongside our Privacy Policy; for how billing works in plain numbers, see the pricing page.
Acceptance
By creating an account or using Loopcast you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to them, do not use the service.
If you are accepting on behalf of a studio, publisher or company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it, and "you" means that organisation.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to hold an account.
What Loopcast does
Loopcast takes a video you upload, transcodes it to the destination platform's broadcast specification, and pushes it as a looping RTMP live broadcast around the clock. The destinations supported today are Steam store-page broadcasts, YouTube Live and Kick.
We run the encoder on our own infrastructure and restart your stream automatically if it drops. We may add, change or withdraw features over time; where we withdraw something you are actively relying on, we will give you notice if we reasonably can.
Loopcast is a broadcasting tool, not an audience or a results guarantee. Whether your broadcast is displayed, ranked, promoted, moderated or accepted at all is decided entirely by the destination platform.
What you need to bring
▪
An account on the destination platform with permission to broadcast to it. For Steam that means a Steamworks account with the Broadcast Live capability for the app you are broadcasting to.
▪
Your own RTMP ingest URL and stream key, generated by you on that platform (Steamworks labels it a broadcast token).
▪
The rights to everything in the video you upload, including music, footage and voice.
Keeping that platform access working is your responsibility. We never ask for and never need your platform password.
Your account
Give us an accurate email address and keep it current, because verification, receipts, low-balance warnings and service notices go there. You have to verify your email address before you can start a broadcast or buy minutes.
Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for everything done under your account. Tell us at support@loopcast.io as soon as you suspect unauthorised use.
One account per customer unless we agree otherwise in writing. Do not share logins.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Loopcast lawfully, and only to broadcast content you are entitled to broadcast. You must not use it to:
▪
Broadcast content you do not own or have the rights to use, including music, footage or trailers you have not licensed.
▪
Broadcast anything illegal, or anything that breaches the destination platform's rules — Valve's Steam broadcasting and store policies, YouTube's Community Guidelines and live streaming policies, or Kick's terms.
▪
Broadcast content that sexualises minors, incites violence or hatred, or harasses, defames or impersonates someone.
▪
Push a stream to a channel, application or store page you do not control.
▪
Disrupt, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service, or try to reach another customer's account, streams or files.
▪
Resell, sublicense or white-label Loopcast without our written agreement.
We do not pre-screen uploads. We may review a broadcast if we receive a complaint or notice a problem, and we may stop a stream or remove content that breaches this section.
Your content and your keys
Your video stays yours. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, transcode, encode and transmit it for the sole purpose of delivering the broadcasts you set up, lasting only as long as you keep the file on the service. Delete the file or the account and the licence ends with it.
You are solely responsible for what you broadcast, including clearing the rights to it and dealing with any claim, strike, takedown or removal it attracts on the destination platform.
Your stream key is used only to deliver your own broadcasts. Do not enter a key you are not entitled to use; broadcasts sent through your account are your responsibility.
If someone tells us a broadcast infringes their rights, write to support@loopcast.io. We will look into it and may suspend the stream while we do.
Minutes, pricing and payment
Loopcast is prepaid and metered in minutes. One minute of balance buys one minute of live broadcasting for one stream, so a full day of continuous streaming is 1,440 minutes. The base rate is 2,000 minutes per US$1, about $0.72 a day, and larger packs include bonus minutes.
▪
Minutes are deducted one by one while a stream is live, and each stream you run consumes them separately.
▪
Packs are sold in fixed sizes and charged in US dollars. Any tax that applies is shown at checkout.
▪
When your balance reaches zero, running streams stop automatically. There is no overdraft, no overage charge and no automatic renewal — you buy the next pack when you want to.
▪
Minutes are prepaid usage credit. They have no cash value, do not expire while your account is open, and cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for money.
Payments are processed by Stripe. If a payment is reversed or charged back after minutes have been credited, we may remove those minutes and suspend the account until the matter is settled.
Refunds and your right to withdraw
If you are a consumer in the EU, the EEA or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason.
Minutes are usable the moment they are credited, which is the moment you pay. So at checkout you are asked to request that we begin supplying them immediately and to acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once supply has begun. If you give that consent and the minutes are credited, that purchase is final.
▪
If you did not give that consent, or if you have not used any of the minutes from a purchase, you may withdraw within 14 days by emailing support@loopcast.io, and we will refund that purchase — proportionately, where some of the minutes have already been used.
▪
Outside those cases, purchases are non-refundable.
▪
The withdrawal right belongs to consumers. Purchases by companies and other business customers are final.
▪
If we permanently discontinue Loopcast, or close your account without cause, we will refund your unused balance at the price you paid for it.
None of this affects your other legal rights, including your remedies if the service is faulty or not as described.
Availability
We work to keep broadcasts running around the clock, and the encoder restarts automatically after an interruption. Even so, we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service, and we do not offer a service level agreement or uptime credits.
Your broadcast also depends on your video, your key and the destination platform's own systems, none of which we control. We may take the service down for maintenance; where it is planned we will try to do it at a quiet time and tell you first.
Suspension and termination
You can stop at any time: stop your streams and email us to close the account.
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if your use puts the service or other customers at risk, if a payment is reversed, or where the law or a destination platform requires it. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first.
▪
If we terminate your account because you breached these terms, unused minutes are forfeited.
▪
If you close your account voluntarily, unused minutes are forfeited as well — they are prepaid usage credit, not a deposit — except where a refund is owed under the withdrawal section above or by law.
▪
If we terminate without cause or discontinue the service, we refund your unused balance.
Termination does not affect anything already owed, or the sections meant to survive it: your responsibility for what you broadcast, the disclaimers, the liability limits and the governing law.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost sales, lost wishlists, lost audience, lost data or a missed launch or festival window. Our total liability for all claims relating to the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected and the limits above apply only so far as the law allows.
Indemnity
If you use Loopcast for business purposes, you agree to indemnify us against claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from the content you broadcast, your breach of these terms, or your breach of a destination platform's rules or of someone else's rights. This does not apply to consumers to the extent local law says otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When a change is material we will update the date at the top and notify account holders by email or in the dashboard, at least 14 days in advance where that is practicable. If you do not accept a change, stop using the service before it takes effect and write to us about your unused balance. Continuing to use Loopcast after that means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the place where Loopcast is established, and disputes will be heard by the courts there. If you are a consumer resident in the EEA or the United Kingdom, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
