How Loopcast pricing works

21 Jun 2026 4 min read
Simple pricing, no surprises
$0.72 for 24 hours of
non-stop broadcasting.
+$0.54/day for the second platform
+$0.36/day for the third platform
That's one minute of balance per minute on air - 1,440 a day. That's the whole model.

We thought a lot about how to price Loopcast and landed on the simplest thing that's actually fair: you pay only for the minutes you're live. Your balance is held in minutes, and every minute a stream is broadcasting uses 1 minute. Run a stream around the clock and that's 1,440 minutes a day - just $0.72 at the base rate, and even less with the bonus minutes included in bigger packs.

There are no tiers, no seat fees, and no monthly subscription. You buy a pack of minutes when you want and stream as long as you like.

How your minutes are used

Minutes are only spent while a broadcast is actually live. The moment you stop a stream, the meter stops too. You won't lose unused minutes - they never expire, so leave them for months and they're exactly where you left them when you come back.

Billing is by the minute, so a short test costs a handful of minutes, not a full day. And there's no overage, ever: when your balance reaches 0 minutes, the stream simply pauses on its own.

Running more than one stream

Manage several Steam store pages? Each active broadcast bills independently. Two streams live at once use minutes twice as fast; five streams, five times. It's the same simple minute-per-minute math, multiplied by however many titles you're broadcasting in parallel.

Simulcasting to more platforms

Broadcasting one video to more than one platform? The first platform bills at the normal rate, the second at 75%, and the third and beyond at half price. One stream to Steam, YouTube and Kick costs 2.25 minutes per minute instead of 3, because the encode is made once and shared, so an added platform is just one more outbound feed.

Compare it to running OBS yourself

OBS Studio is free to download, but broadcasting yourself means a computer running flat-out for the whole event. Take a typical Steam Next Fest at 7 days (168 hours), with electricity at $0.20/kWh:

Loopcast
168 hours live$5.00
Your PC & power$0.00
Total$5.00
OBS on your machine
PC power (50.4 kWh)$10.08
Network hardware$1.01
Total$11.09

Rough estimate assuming ~0.3 kWh/hour for the PC and 0.03 kWh/hour for network gear. Your numbers will vary, but the shape doesn't.

So Loopcast comes in at less than half the cost - and that's before you count what you get back:

Setup in under a minute - no encoder config to babysit.
Runs in our datacenter, so no energy bills or network outages on your end.
Control it from anywhere, even your phone, while your own PC stays off.
Friendly support by email when you need a hand.

Minute packs

Minutes come in fixed packs starting at $5, and bigger packs include bonus minutes - up to 30% extra. Every pack is a one-time purchase: no subscription, and minutes never expire.

$510,080 minutes · 7 days
$1021,600 minutes · 15 days +8% bonus
$2046,080 minutes · 32 days +15% bonus
$50122,400 minutes · 85 days +22% bonus
$100259,200 minutes · 180 days +30% bonus

Purchases are prepaid and non-refundable, apart from the statutory right of withdrawal set out in our terms. There is nothing to cancel and nothing to overdraw: streams simply pause at 0 minutes, so you can never spend more than you bought.
